Everything in Scan Bench
The main tools, grouped by job. The beta includes all of them.
Clean up
Select and delete in 3D with brush, box or lasso, fill behind removed cars and people, find holes, level, crop, set the scale, straighten. Save a cleaned PLY or a much smaller SPZ.
Measure
Lengths, areas and heights on the scan, with snapping to edges and walls. Heights read in millimetres by default.
Drawings
Plans, A-A and B-B sections and elevations with dimensions that never overlap. PDF sheets with title blocks, and DXF for CAD.
Compare
Line up scans of one site from different days: three matching spots, or automatic. Slider or flick between any two dates, fine tune with labelled nudges.
Timelapse
Fade, Wipe, Grow, Build up, Top down, Laser scan, Blocks, Sweep and Pop between dates. Still, slow move, orbit, keyframes, walk or fly path cameras. Rendered to MP4.
Walk-through films
Draw a route on the plan, aim each point, set heights in the side view. Smooth camera with no jerks at the points.
Volume and levels
Cut and fill between two dates, stockpiles against a base, cut and fill to a level, floor flatness and falls, ponding survey.
Sky and weather
Sun clock sky, clouds, rain with wet ground, snow, fog, lightning, fireworks, fire and smoke, northern lights and more.
Formats
XGRIDS LCC and LCC2 folders with level of detail, PLY (splat or point cloud), E57, SPZ, SPLAT, SOG.
VR
Meta Quest through Quest Link or Air Link from the same app.
On your computer
Everything runs on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, so big scans open as fast as your disk and graphics card allow.
Survey extras
Headroom map, CCTV coverage planner, roof pitch reader and spot levels.
