Questions
Is it a subscription?
Not during the beta. The beta licence is one payment of £49. After the beta, Scan Bench moves to a subscription, and beta testers are told the details first.
Why a one-off price for the beta?
So you can try it properly without signing up to ongoing costs, and tell us what to improve.
Do my scans get uploaded anywhere?
No. Scan Bench runs on your computer and opens your files there. The only thing it sends is a licence check and, if you allow it, crash reports so we can fix problems.
What if it does not work for me?
See the refund policy, or get in touch and we will try to fix it first.
Which scanners does it work with?
XGRIDS (PortalCam, Lixel) LCC and LCC2 folders open directly. Any Gaussian splat or point cloud in PLY, E57, SPZ, SPLAT or SOG works too, for example from Polycam, Luma, Postshot or KIRI.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. The beta is Windows only.
