Terms of use
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms cover buying and using Scan Bench. By buying a licence or using the app you agree to them. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing here takes away your legal rights.
1. Who we are
Scan Bench is made by Refresh Print Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13642636), registered office 7 Carrier Street, Halifax, HX1 1DH, United Kingdom. We trade as Clearpath360. Email: info@clearpath360.co.uk.
2. Who sells it to you
Orders are processed by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), who acts as the merchant of record. They take the payment, charge any VAT or sales tax, and send your receipt. Their own checkout terms apply to the payment itself.
3. Your licence
When you buy, we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use Scan Bench on up to 2 computers at a time, for your own work or your business. You can move the licence to another computer from Help > Licence > Move to another computer.
You may not: sell, rent, share or give away your licence key or the app; remove or get round the licence check; or copy, change or take apart the app, except where the law says you are allowed to.
The software stays ours. You own your scans, drawings, films and anything else you make with it.
4. The beta
Scan Bench is in beta. It is a working program that is still being improved, so it may have bugs, and features may change, move or be removed between updates. The beta licence is a one-off payment of £49 and covers every update while the beta runs. When the beta ends we expect to move to a subscription. We will tell beta testers the price and what happens to their beta licence before anything changes, and nothing will charge you again unless you choose to sign up.
5. Licence checks
The app checks your licence key online when you activate it and from time to time after that. It keeps working without internet for 14 days after the last good check. The check sends your licence key and a name for your computer, nothing about your scans.
6. Measurements and results
Scan Bench gives measurements, volumes, levels and drawings from the scans you open. Their accuracy depends on your scanner, your scan and how you use the tools. Check anything important (for example dimensions for construction, legal or safety purposes, or figures you will rely on for money) by another method before you rely on it. Scan Bench is not a certified survey instrument.
7. Our responsibility to you
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, and these terms do not affect them. Advice about your rights is available from Citizens Advice.
We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss of data you have not backed up, or, if you use Scan Bench for business, for loss of profit, business or opportunity. Apart from that, if you use it for business our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
8. Ending the licence
You can stop using Scan Bench at any time. We may end your licence if you break these terms, for example by sharing your key. If that happens you must stop using the app.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the beta ends. We will put the new date at the top of this page, and tell you by email about any change that affects you significantly.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
